Dinnseanchas

The lore of places: the Irish tradition of poems and prose telling how places came by their names. Reading a place through its names, as the residency did in Lyreacrompane (Ladhar an Chrompáin, the fork of the Crompán), is where the project took its title.

Response-ability

A practised capacity to respond — cultivated with others, in particular situations, rather than held as a moral position. Haraway hyphenates it to separate it from 'responsibility': capacities differ, so there is no universal 'we' who can simply choose to be responsible.
